Donald average – MMABs win!!!
M.M.A.B. first five Steven Donald was average on Saturday night and as a result the M.M.A.Bs pulled off a narrow 6 point win over the Dirty Filthy Cheating ‘Straaaalyns.
Lord Sir Graham Henry once again proved his superiority over Robbie Deans by instructing Sivivatu to come in off the wing and play first five when the M.M.A.Bs were on attack. With Donald not included in many M.M.A.B. backline moves the game flowed smoothly and we were in no danger of putting up the infamous Donald defensive bomb. The D.F.C.Ss were thrown by the tactical masterpiece but still managed to go to the sheds 3 points up as when it came to penalty kicking Donald was as ineffective as the last Labour government. The small gap was a credit to the hard work of the loose trio who looked interested in obtaining turnover ball from the breakdown for the first time this season.
The second half was another masterpiece of coaching from Lord Sir Bishop Graham Henry OBE, MBE, LEG, END.
Confident that a try a piece was enough for an MMAB victory and equally confident that the D.F.C.S’s would cheat, the game plan was clearly to sit back and wait for the dirty, filthy, cheating mongrels to get pinged – and that they did. This – combined with the impeccable timing and use of the bench - secured a memorable win.

England took their hands off the jugular of the D.F.C.S’s in the second test at Lords over the weekend when Strauss decided not to enforce the follow on. Teflon Ponting must be spitting tacks at some of the dodgy umpiring decisions overnight but this reporter is finding it awfully difficult to have any sympathy.
There was a netball game that I’m told was quite important but I couldn’t hear the commentators over the umpires whistle. I reckon they would be better off blowing when they don’t want to stop the game.
The Warriors were better at hitting the ball up 5 times then kicking than the Roosters were.

Good to see robust, healthy debate.I like the fact that Ted has modernized his speak-bro, to show he's moving with the times, Rest and rotation has gone, and now changes are made to "get players into the game".Very Scribal. What a genius, I think we may see the other revolutionary tactic, both Tialata and Franks injured in first 20mins, go to golden -oldie scrums so Hore and Mealamu, can play at same time in dual hooker role, not seen since the famous 1930 British Lions tour when scrums were 2-3-2.And of course the England Rugby team and Cronulla Shards have tried recent ,unsuccesful verions.

Let's be real everyone Steven Donald is poor and he only appeared "good" Saturday as he surpasssed his own lowly set standard.Leonard will give him room Sunday and the top of the ground SA style will assist but he will still be found wanting and what's with that bloody kicking style - yuk !Hurry up Dan.

Surprised the next comment wasn't for Carlos Spencer to be brought in. Hard to say if he was good or bad, no-one lest of all Carlos had a clue why he did some of the things he did tactically. Donald played well without a shadow of a doubt but we need more options at no 10 even if it means bringing back early an underwear advertising puff from the sheep worrying plains in Canterbury.

Yes - watched with interest and can state that IMHO Donald was average. A huge improvement from his previous efforts against the French. This improvement did make him stand out. He still missed easy kicks, sidestepped himself for the second time in as many matches and was immature tactically on several occasions. He's probably the best 10 available to the MMABs at the moment but that doesn't make him a stand out. Bring back Dan - quickly please...

Did your reviewer watch the test on Saturday? If he did he would have seen that Donald was clearly one of the stand out players that ciontributed to the AB's victory
